$9.19

Description

Sherlock Holmes, the world’s “only unofficial consulting detective”, first got introduced to readers in A Study in Scarlet published by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887. With the publication of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, however,  the master sleuth’s popularity grew tremendously, later to become one of the most beloved literary characters.

The short stories comprising The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes got amusingly illustrated using only Lego® brand minifigures and bricks. The illustrations recreate the composition of the black and white drawings by Sidney Paget that accompanied the original publication of these adventures in The Strand Magazine. Paget’s iconic illustrations remain responsible for the popular image of Sherlock Holmes. This includes his deerstalker cap and Inverness cape, details never mentioned in the writings.

This uniquely illustrated collection features A Sandal in Bohemia and The Red-Headed League.  It remains sure to delight Lego enthusiasts and fans of the Great Detective.
